#2 Knits!!!

The cold crisp air and the sound of crinkling leaves under your feet all mean one thing! FALL is HERE! For my key trend this season I’ll be dressed in a great knit sweater, slouchy or fitted optional. There is no season I love more than the Fall. Don’t get me wrong I love the Spring too especially after a harsh winter, but the feel of a comfy warm sweater nothing tops it! Whether you pair your sweater with a great pair of jeans; black or blue, and or leggings (just make sure the knit is long enough to cover your rear, let’s not forget they aren’t pants.) I am going to pair mine off with a great flat, and a super cute messenger bag!

Here are some of the comfy knits I want to be dressed in this Fall!

Missoni for Target
Luckily I got my hands on the knit pictured left at the pop-up store
in Bryant Park for Fashion's Night Out. I can't wait to wear this with leggings and knee high boots!

# 1- The Blogs I Covet

Blogs, Blogs, Blogs!
I can sit on my mac laptop reading countless amount of blogs, whether it's a top blog or a blog that someone has created two houses down from me. Lately, I have been reading blogs that are more price conscious, I am a college student and currently interning and times are tuff!  I have also been reading a few eco-fashion blogs. I worked with a great designer who was eco-friendly she started my obsession with earth friendly fashion as well as locally made fashion!
I hope you enjoy the blogs I covet and covet them too!

I am first generation Sicilian, there is nothing more I love than spending a week in my father's hometown. Although it isn't a fashion capital it has a world of glamour and trends all on its own. So I always try and keep up what the local Italians are wearing. The Coffee Dress blog is both in Italian and English, the blogger- Benedetta has such a great style, mixing high priced items with low priced items. I really love seeing her style change day to night, she is like a European California girl at heart! Blonde and very beachy!

I adore a sale, a steal, a great find and a designer collaborations . I covet things from Vogue, but I can't always (well mostly) afford them. The Budget Babe, gives us the opportunity to get something we really want, but for less! You can post to her forum with questions you have of a shoe you adore and can't find a similar style too or what to wear to a party. She gives you up to date lookbooks of the current collection, whether its H&M or Kohl's or even Olsenboyle for Jcpenny. She even has a celebrity style - so if your favorite fashionistas has an outfit you must have Dianna can help, by making it affordable!

Another blog I covet is Saucy Glossie,(she may look familiar she featured in TJ Maxx commercial she is their Maxxinista for Fall 11). Her style has a bit of designer with a bit of moderate priced items! Her style is very ethnic, and really feminine. She doesn't only focus on clothing, but also home furnishings and beauty as well!

Lately, I purchase things that are eco-friendly and or organic. Even when I shopped for new notebooks for school I chose to purchase the eco-friendly ones. Believing in Global Warming or not we as people effect the planet, and it's our job to take care of it! Buying organic produce is better for our bodies and in return better for the universe!
Eco-Chick offers some fun substitutes that are eco-conscious.
She discusses topics from fashion to vacations all the way down to yoga!

Sophie Elgort's Blog- When I interned for Allison Parris, Sophie came to see the presentation of her Spring/Summer 2011 collection, and I started to follow her blog shortly after. She shows the collection off in a different way, simple letting the clothes speak for themselves! She is definitely a blog to put in your bookmarks especially during Fashion Week! She is great for behind the scenes photos!

I really enjoyed interning for the Allison Parris, and I miss the girls dearly! So every once and a while I will go and read Allison's blog featured on the Allison Parris website! Reading the blog makes me feel like I am back at the office!  Allison's clothes are ultra feminine and whimsical, they make you feel so beautiful, and the best part is that they are eco-friendly!
